About Penny
I've lived in North Reading for 26 years, longer than anywhere else. I was born at the now closed Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva.... New York (I always pause before adding "New York" and everyone assumes I mean Switzerland). When I applied for a passport a few years ago I learned that the base hospital was actually across the town line in Romulus, NY. So for years, I've been lying about the place of my birth.
I've held a variety of jobs throughout the years, from waitress to receptionist, accounting clerk to journalist. I ran a small printing/public relations business in North Reading for a few years. Now I'm a marketing communications manager. Of all the jobs I've had, being a mother is my favorite.
I pretend to like gardening, love spending time with friends, enjoy a good book on my nook, and write a personal blog in addition to this one. I published a book three years ago, "My Breast Cancer Sally" about my adventure as a breast cancer patient and recently became a volunteer for Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston.

Hi,
I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved
with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.
If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Here is the link for the film:
