Public Hearing on Medical Marijuana Moratorium

The Reading Community Planning & Development Commission want to hear from residents about a plan to stop medical marijuana dispensaries in town for at least a year.

The CPDC will hold a public hearing on the zoning amendment that would create a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Monday, July 8 in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room at Town Hall.

The CPDC recommended a one-year moratorium because it will allow the town to investigate the dispensaries and show how other towns are handling them, according to Staff Planner Jessie Wilson.
