North Reading Resident Arrested on a Warrant

The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the  from Friday through Sunday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

At 4:51 p.m., Joan O'Neill, 46, of 108 Lowell Road, Apt. 209, was arrested on a warrant.

Friday, March 30

  • At 12:34 p.m., a Eugley Park resident reported that a wire was down off a pole.
  • At 4:17 p.m., a caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on North Street. No injuries were reported. 
  • At 10:08 p.m., a caller reported a car parked at the end of Gloria Lane and occupants walked through a path at the end of the lane. Police investigated and found a small house party where they believe the occupants may have walked to and from the path. The caller phoned again to report two kids behind a house on Gloria Lane. Police spoke to the kids and sent them on their way.
  • At 10:43 p.m., a Southwick Road resident reported that there were youths walking on his street, and he called because his mailbox was damaged in the past. Police called the parents of both youths who picked them up.

Saturday, March 31

  • At 12:15 a.m.,  a caller reported an erratic operator on Elm Street. The car was gone when police arrived.
  • At 8:04 a.m., an Aspen Road resident reported rocks on the hood of his vehicle and mailbox damage.
  • At 12:27 p.m., a caller reported a possible Craigslist scam.

Sunday, April 1

  • At 11:41 a.m., a caller reported a car accident on North Street. No injuries were reported. One car was towed from the scene.
  • At 5:21 p.m., an emergency caller reported a car accident on Main Street. No injuries were reported. One car was towed from the scene.
  • At 6:14 p.m., a caller reported a wire down on Marshall Street.
