Unique and Sweet Treats at The Chocolate Truffle

The Chocolate Truffle in Reading has gifts, custom chocolates, favors and more.

Besides hand-rolled truffles, on Main Street in Reading houses extra large peanut butter cups, chocolate pizzas and gift sets. If you want to buy extraordinary chocolate, this store is the place to shop.

The shop has been featured on the Phantom Gourment, Fox25 and Rachael Ray and sold at , Homegoods and other locations nationwide.

The chocolate shop originally opened in Woburn in 1990. Current owners Erin Calvo-Bacci and Carlo Bacci took over the business in 2003, and moved it from Woburn in 2006.

"The opportunity was there. We were thinking it would be a nice seasonal business," said Calvo-Bacci.

Little did she know her chocolates would soon become a nationwide best sellers. Made in Swampscott, the chocolates are delivered to her other retail stores and sellers.

"It's not just a store for people to come to, but working with other companies to help them attract and maintain customers through giving gifts," she said.

Calvo-Bacci considers the Reading shop her flagship store, but has another retail store in Winchester.

The stores host fundraisers and private tastings. During store hours, you can learn about chocolate and sample the truffles for $10 per person. Private tastings are $15 per person. 

The store offers wedding and shower favors and custom gifts-- anything from molds to customization.
