The faire will feature the Antique and Classic Car Show as well. If you have an antique or classic car that you would like to enter into the contest, contact Steve Goldy at sgoldy@sgoldy.com to register.

The faire committee and volunteers are working hard to plan the event, include the popular events from last year and add new attractions, according to a recent release. The faire now not only attracts Reading residents, but residents from other towns as well. The committee is expecting just under 10,000 attendants this year.

"We are expanding our announcement beyond the Reading Community because this event is now attracting a crowd approaching 10,000 visitors from not only Reading, but the surrounding towns," Committee member Brian Snell said.

He went on to say that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to "bring forward a day of fun for a community."

"The committee, comprised of both appointed/voting members and non-voting members, has been talking about the Faire since last year’s Faire ended. Then in late May we began meeting again with the goal of bringing forward more and varied vendors, more fun activities for the kids, and more visitors," Snell said.

The Coordinating Committee is composed of residents, and volunteers are still needed. You can volunteer as much or as little time as you want and the range of opportunities for volunteers is very broad, the release said.

"This faire has now become part of the fabric of our community, and the success of this faire is largely due to the volunteers that give their time and energy," the release said.
