North Reading Hiker Injured in N.H.

Gayle Carroll was hiking when she injured her leg Monday.

According to WCVB.com, North Reading woman Gayle Carroll was hiking the White Arrow Trail on Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire when she suffered a leg injury. Rescue crews performed first aid before she was transported to the hospital.

Carroll, 58, was descending Mount Monadnock around 3 p.m. Monday with family and friends when she hurt her right leg. Mountain patrol rangers performed the first aid and then a rescue team carried Carroll to a trailhead, WCVB.com said. Shortly after, she was transported to a hospital.
