North Reading Moms and Tots Group to Hold Halloween Party for Members

The Halloween party will be at the Flint Memorial Library.

Local playgroup Moms and Tots is having their annual Halloween party for members only at the Flint Memorial Library on Oct. 28 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Children should show off their Halloween costumes at the party and take a photo in the pumpkin patch. The party will feature music and stations set up for crafts and games like pin the nose on the pumpkin and a spider ring toss. There will also be snacks served for kids and goody bags available.

According to member Nicole Tully, the group offers a lot of events for children including playgroups, meet-ups at parks and outings to places like Zinga! frozen yogurt and Celebration Kingdom. They also have "adult oriented meet-ups," like their book club nights, mom's nights out or mom's nights in, which include wine and cheese at a local mom's house.

"We try to keep our calendar full so that there are lots of options for all of the members, but it is up to members to create and post events. It is such a great organization for getting local families together and for getting more involved in our local community," Tully said.

Linda Moriarty started the group, which had their first meet-up last year. The group now has about 150 members and is still organized through Meet-up.org. The annual fee is $20, which goes toward events like the Halloween and holiday party. If you are interested in getting involved visit their site
