Five Things to Do This Weekend

A barbecue, PMC kids ride and more are on tap this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some ideas:

Where/when: , Saturday, noon
Why go: Socialize, raise awareness for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and enjoy music, games and the BBQ. Entry is $30 per person, but kids are free. 

Where/when: , Sunday at 10 a.m.
Why go: The PMC Reading Kids Ride raises money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Join with a team or a join a team that is already signed up. There will be music, activities and refreshments after the ride.

Where/when: , Saturday at 5 p.m.  
Why go: The North Reading Gay-Straight Alliance will hold their first annual Acceptance for All Awareness Concert at the Gazebo at Ipswich River Park to promote awareness surrounding LGBT issues and provide a night of fun for all ages with youth bands and speakers.

Where/when: , Friday at 7 p.m.  
Why go: Join the third annual Ride & Roast for Autism for those over 21. The non-profit event donates funds and goods to Camp Starfish, a therapeutic camp for kids with Autism. Leave from the Moose and ride to Gloucester and back for a roast buffet, pool tournament and live music. Ride and roast for $25, or just roast for $10.
