Five Things to Know Today: Dec. 17

Your guide to Reading and North Reading today.

Today is Monday, Dec. 17. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. Today will be mostly cloudy with a high near 38, tonight a low around 37. There is a chance of rain and snow.

2. Reading Kindergarten registration. Tomorrow is last day to register for kindergarten. Registration materials can be found online at reading.k12.ma.us, under news on the homepage as well as on each elementary school homepage. Drop off the materials at the Superintendent’s Office.

3. North Reading School Committee. The School Committee will meet at North Reading High School at 6 p.m. The FY14 budget vision presentation is on the agenda.

4. North Reading Selectmen. The selectmen will meet at Town Hall at 7 p.m. License renewals/approvals and the Pine Forest Park settlement agreement are both items on the agenda.
