Five Things to Know Today: Oct. 11

Today is Thursday, Oct. 11. Here are five things you need to know today:

1. The weather. The temperature will reach 58 degrees in the afternoon and drop to 45 in the evening. Expect sunny skies.

2. North Reading Board of Assessors. The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at North Reading Town Hall at 7 p.m. The bill schedule and motor vehicle commitments are both items on the agenda.

3. Preschool Storytime. Stop by the Flint Memorial Library at 9:30 a.m. for storytime.

4. Foreign Affairs Discussion. The Reading Public Library is hosting a Foreign Affairs discussion series for eight consecutive Thursday evenings that started last month. Attend to discuss current events and issues facing the United States. The discussion starts at 7 p.m.
