Reading Teen Charged with Drunk Driving

Arrests

At 10:08 p.m. on Saturday, Alexander Guarnotta, 17, of 62 Orange St., was pulled over and arrested for operating under the influence of liquor on Lowell Street.

Friday, March 16

  • At 1:22 p.m., a caller reported youths riding bikes and skateboarding on Haven Street. The youths were spoken to and sent on their way.
  • At 2:21 p.m., a caller reported that a elderly male hit a car with his crutches on Haven Street.
  • At 4:31 p.m., a caller reported that a female stole a six-pack of Harpoon Ale from and fled.
  • At 5:14 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Knollwood Road. Two cars were involved; the injuries are unknown.
  • At 6:53 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Washington Street. No injuries were reported.

Saturday, March 17

  • At 1:19 p.m., a Bancroft Avenue resident reported that the front of her house was egged.
  • At 2:47 p.m., a Reading resident reported finding a needle on Main Street.
  • At 9:05 p.m., a Reading resident reported ID fraud.
  • At 10:54 p.m., a caller reported youths racing around the Franklin Street and Pasture Road area.

Sunday, March 11

  • At 9:20 a.m., a Lawrence Road resident reported that his lawn was driven over the night before.
  • At 10:50 a.m., a caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident on General Way.
  • At 3:00 p.m., a caller reported a car accident on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
