The last day of school for students before the holiday in both Reading and North Reading is Dec. 21. North Reading students return to school on Thursday, Jan. 3 and students in Reading return to school Wednesday, Jan. 2.
The next day after vacation that students have off is Jan. 21 for Martin Luther King Day.
